Tips for completing the Flight Simulator X game. Game Walkthrough #014
Preparing for the flight
According to this planner, we should take about 11,000 pounds of fuel (these are approximate values, the exact values depend on the height, weight of the aircraft, wind speed and direction, etc.). So now we are introducing almost double the cost of fuel - 11,000 pounds. This means that our wing tanks will be filled to about 60% of their capacity, while the central tank will remain empty. The amount of fuel calculated by FSX is not enough for our flight!
The conclusion is obvious: the FSX aircraft burns more fuel than indicated in the characteristics of the aircraft. It is recommended to fill the wing tanks to about 85% of their capacity and leave the central tank empty. We will not change anything in the proposed cargo section.
Now it's time to click Fly Now and get to our cabin at Okesi Airport, exit 24. As you can see in the picture below, FSX has uploaded the current weather.

Usually, all FSX aircraft (as well as FS2004) are prepared for flight, which means that their engines are running. Novice pilots don't necessarily need to know all the startup procedures, so we'll leave the engines as they are.
We're in the cockpit. The 737-800 cabin is designed as a glass cabin, which means that traditional analog instruments have been replaced by multifunction displays.

The left-hand display shows basic flight parameters such as speed, altitude, horizontal position (HSI), heading, pressure, and vertical velocity. The middle display operates in three available modes, which are changed using the CTR knob located above the icons that switch additional panels (these panels can also be switched by pressing Shift + 2, 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8. combination key) for radio, GPS, throttle quadrant, upper The CTR knob can switch between MAP mode (our route), VOR display, or ILS display (Instrument landing system). The right-hand display shows the engine operation parameters and the amount of fuel.
First, we need to turn on the navigation lights (NAV) if they are not already on. The light switches are located on the top panel.
Now, by pressing the stressed key ( ~ ), we open the ATC window. Now we have to listen to the ATIS information. We will know that Runway 33 is an active runway (we can open the map and check the length and direction of the runway).

Now we set the required pressure using the barometric pressure regulator (30.09 in our case). Modern players understand the importance of starting with enhanced resources and reliable conditions.
